We are the largest Pathology Practice in the Rocky Mountain Region, with 25 pathologist physicians and supporting histotechnologists, cytotechnologists, management, and other personnel. Our people provide laboratory and pathology services to hospitals, clinics, doctor’s offices, laboratories, and other facilities along the Front Range of Colorado and beyond.

UniPath Remains a Network Provider for United Healthcare and PacifiCare

UniPath would like to announce our continued association with United Healthcare/PacifiCare as a network provider of anatomic pathology and cytopathology services. United Healthcare’s announcement regarding a new national agreement with Laboratory Corporation of America does not affect UniPath’s participation status with United Healthcare/PacifiCare.
In response to inquires from referring physician practices nationwide, United Healthcare/PacifiCare stated “In the overwhelming majority of the country, the United Healthcare/PacifiCare laboratory network will continue to include a combination of other regional and local laboratory service providers.” Since UniPath is currently an in-network provider for both United Healthcare and PacifiCare, we will continue to accept specimens from their insured patients.
UniPath is a contracted provider for United Healthcare and PacifiCare therefore we will be able to continue to serve the needs of your patients.
United Healthcare/PacifiCare urged referring physicians who are currently sending specimens to Quest Diagnostics and other non-participating laboratories “to use the next few months to prepare for a transition by making any necessary arrangements with a participating provider for services to be rendered after January 1st.” UniPath can provide services for these patients and help your office during this transition.
